Last Will and Testament

A Last Will and Testament is a document that reflects the testamentary wishes of the person who executes (signs) it as the testator or testatrix. This document is an opportunity for the testator or testatrix to record instructions and wishes relating to their assets as well as whether they would like to recognise the contributions of organisations or persons by recording testamentary bequests. In other words, your Last Will and Testament can provide a ‘roadmap’ for your executor, or the attorney administering your estate, to follow which can assist with avoiding conflict or ambiguity.

We feel strongly about ensuring that every person has a Last Will and Testament that reflects their testamentary wishes, not only because we understand the importance of your legacy but also because we are acutely aware of the issues that arise if someone dies intestate (without a valid Last Will and Testament) or if their deceased estate is governed by a poorly drafted Last Will and Testament.
